What's New in the GV PC Card 3.0.6 Software?
The "Send At" dialog in GlobalFax 3.0.6 now displays ten years from the current date. However, functionality in older software is not affected if you do not require this feature.
The 3.0.6 software also fixes a problem with cover sheet memo fields not properly calculating the message length.
Owners of older GV PC Card software will have their control panel changed from PowerPort PC Card to Global Village PC Card.
Who Should Use This GV PC Card 3.0.6 Software Updater?
Global Village PC Card 3.0.6 software works with all US/Canada and CE-Marked GV PC Cards, including: GV V.90 PC Card, GV K56flex Modem/Ethernet PC Card, GV K56flex Modem PC Card, PowerPort Platinum Pro PC Card, PowerPort Platinum PC Card, or PowerPort Gold PC Card.
Additionally, the Global Village PC Card 3.0.6 software can operate with the following PowerBook computers: the PowerBook 190, 5300, 1400, 3400, and 2400 series computers; PowerBook G3 (in the 3400 style case); and PowerBook G3 Series (with the big white apple on the cover). PowerBook 500 users need the PowerBook PCMCIA Expansion Module, revision C, Model M2995LL/C to work with this software.
Who Should NOT Use This GV PC Card 3.0.6 Software Updater?
Owners of Global Village PC Cards localized for European or Pacific Rim countries should not use this updater. This updater will replace your current software and you will lose your translated GlobalFax software.

Downloading the Software
You can download the software as two disk images or one installer archive (folder). The disk images require Apple's Disk Copy or a similar utility to run. If you are not familiar with the use of Disk Copy, Global Village cannot assist you with that software and you should download the Installer Archive.

How do I run the PC Card 3.0.6 Software Updater?
You must have any previous version of GlobalFax for PC Cards already installed. This updater will not install GlobalFax on its own.
Note: Global Village does not distribute Apple's Disk Copy software, and cannot provide technical support on its use. You should already be familiar with handling disk images if you choose to install by this method.
If you download the Installer Archive, do not rename or move any of its parts or folders or it will not run properly. Download the file and run the self-extracting archive. It will create the GV PC Card Update 3.0.6 folder. Open the folder and double-click the Installer alias icon. The installation will run from your hard drive. The individual folders should not be copied onto floppies or the installer may not run properly: this is a hard-drive-based installer.
