Requirements:
The GlobalFax SP Scheduling Updater will only update TelePort 33.6 Speakerphone Edition 1.0.1 (GlobalFax 2.6.2) software. If you are running TelePort 33.6 Speakerphone Edition 1.0 (GlobalFax 2.6.1), you must update your software to TelePort 33.6 Speakerphone Edition 1.0.1 (GlobalFax 2.6.2) before running this Updater. Software update:
Year 2000 Readiness: While GlobalFax can function in and past the Year 2000 without using this Updater, the GlobalFax SP Scheduling Updater updates a very specific function of GlobalFax: the "Send At" feature. Using the GlobalFax Scheduling Updater will allow the Send At feature to function properly after December 31, 1999. GlobalFax's appearance and features will not change with the exception of the Send At feature.

Installing the GlobalFax Scheduling Updater:
To install the GlobalFax SP Scheduling Updater: Double-click on the GlobalFax SP Scheduling Updater icon and it will update your current version of GlobalFax. An unmodified copy of the updated software is saved in a folder named "Old Global Village Software" on your hard drive.

You should only use this updater with TelePort 33.6 Speakerphone Edition 1.0.1 (GlobalFax 2.6.2) software. If you run the GlobalFax SP Scheduling Updater on software other than Speakerphone Edition 1.0.1 (GlobalFax 2.6.2), the Updater will either:

* not modify your GloblalFax software

OR

* incorrectly modify your software which may cause problems when you use your GlobalFax software. If you encounter problems using the GlobalFax software after running the Updater, you should do the following:

  1. Open the "Old Global Village Software" folder on your hard drive
  2. Change the name of the extension "Unmodified GlobalFax" to "GlobalFax"
  3. Drag the "GlobalFax" extension onto the closed System Folder icon of your hard drive
  4. A dialog telling you that the item needs to be placed in the Extensions folder will appear - click the OK button
  5. You may see a dialog telling you an item with the same name already exists - click the OK button
  6. Restart your computer
